Environmental Policy
The company complies with relevant Environmental legislation and actively seeks to reduce its impact on the environment by recognising its responsibilities through a proactive Environmental policy. This applies to all employees and consultants engaged to provide services to the YFM Group in comparable posts.
The rationale for the YFM Group's commitment to environmental improvements includes:
- An understanding of the impact of our business activities on the environment
- Our belief that sustainability is an essential ingredient in business success
- Our desire to reduce our environmental footprint wherever practical
The YFM Group is committed to:-
- Promote recycling and the use of recycled materials, while reducing consumption of materials wherever possible
- Ensure continuous improvement in reducing use of raw materials, energy, supplies, emissions and waste
- Monitor and review our environmental performance on an annual basis
- Comply with environmental legislation and codes of practice
- Work with suppliers and portfolio companies to minimize the impact of their operations on the environment
The YFM Group recognises the importance and commitment of employees in achieving the above, and will ensure that employees have the skills and that resources (financial or otherwise) are available to achieve this.
In order to ensure that the Environmental Policy is put into practice, employees of the YFM Group:-
- Should contribute towards energy efficiency by switching off unused and unneeded appliances
- Should seek to reuse and reduce our use of consumables wherever possible
- Should make use of recycling facilities offered by the YFM Group
- Should seek to use communication and transport media compatible with our objectives of business efficiency, effectiveness and environmental improvement
We further seek to encourage our suppliers to address environmental standards, and will assist suppliers, contractors and customers to use products and services in an environmentally sensitive way.
